Obituary of Peter Trifon Malkovsky
Peter Malkovsky, on Wednesday November 13th, 2019, passed away after a bravely-fought battle with cancer. Beloved husband to Lil, father to Amanda (Kevin) and Katie (Gordon), stepfather to Shannon (Bill), Dedo to Hayden and Tyler. Beloved brother to Donna, Chris, and Sam. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Peter was born November 1st, 1955 in Czechoslovakia to Macedonian parents Sofia and Filip Malkovsky. He moved to Canada in 1968, and always took great pride in being Canadian. He went on to achieve an MBA from Laredo State University before settling in Peterborough, Ontario. A retired Fleming College professor of over 30 years, Peter’s passion for teaching and pride in his students’ achievements were obvious to all who knew him. As a professor of International Trade, he combined his love of teaching with his passion for travel, visiting countless countries to teach, learn, or just enjoy a margarita. His was a truly remarkable life lived by a truly remarkable man. He will be missed by the many, many people whose lives he touched.
